Website and clinical privacy

Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the STG Health Platform, including SaskADHD, and explains how personal and personal health information is collected, used, protected, retained and disclosed.

Important distinction

Website privacy and clinical privacy are related but not identical.

Using the website provides information and a route to request service. Separate consent, privacy, professional record and care agreements apply once clinical services begin.

✓ Website use does not create a therapeutic relationship
✓ Secure clinical systems are used for health information
✓ No audio or video recording of telehealth sessions
01

What this policy covers

The STG Health Platform facilitates counselling, psychotherapy, psychological assessment and, where clinically indicated, nurse-practitioner care for people in Saskatchewan. General website content is educational and does not itself constitute healthcare. The policy may be updated when law, technology or service practices change.

02

Information collected and why

Authorized providers may collect identifying information, contact details, health history, screening and assessment responses, treatment records, billing information and limited technical data needed for security and platform operation. Information is used to verify identity and eligibility, assess, diagnose, treat, coordinate prescriptions, schedule, bill approved payers, gather feedback and meet legal or professional obligations.

03

Pharmacies and service providers

When medication is prescribed, information may be shared with a Saskatchewan pharmacy or other authorized provider with consent and as needed for care. Secure hosting, payment and other contracted service providers may access only the information required to perform their functions and must protect it according to applicable agreements and law.

04

Storage, retention and safeguards

Personal information is stored using secured systems with administrative, organizational and technical safeguards. Clinical records are retained for the period required by Saskatchewan law, professional standards and operational obligations, which may continue after an account is closed. No electronic system can guarantee absolute security.

05

Access, correction and disclosure

You may request access to or correction of personal information, subject to legal limits and identity verification. Information is disclosed only for authorized care and administration, with consent, to contracted providers, in an emergency, or where disclosure is permitted or required by law, court order or professional duty. Medical records are not routinely released to outside providers without consent.

06

Cookies, consent and privacy questions

The website may use essential cookies, analytics and external services. De-identified aggregated data may be used for service improvement where permitted. Consent may be withdrawn subject to legal and contractual restrictions. Contact the Privacy Officer, STG Health Services Inc., PO Box 116, La Ronge, Saskatchewan, [email protected], (306) 518-8701. You may also contact the Saskatchewan or federal privacy commissioner where applicable.
