Use the secure General Intake and indicate that you are seeking ADHD-focused therapy. Share your existing diagnosis, the main difficulty you want help with and your availability in the intake. Appropriate intake and suitability review still apply; further assessment may be recommended when the diagnosis or main concern needs clarification.
Individual psychotherapy can address task initiation, planning, working memory and organization alongside anxiety, burnout, shame or relationship strain. We’ll look for practical supports you can use when energy or routines change, and ways to restart when things become difficult.
Care is delivered as clinical counselling or psychotherapy. Intake helps clarify whether individual work, a structured skills group, Signal or another service fits the main concern. A diagnosis question may need assessment before a particular treatment route is chosen.
Individual psychotherapy
One-to-one care is useful when ADHD interacts with anxiety, burnout, relationships, work pressure or longstanding self-criticism.
Understand
Identify where activation, working memory, emotion, avoidance and environment interact.
Build
Use visible cues, realistic scheduling, decision rules, environmental changes and accountability that do not rely on willpower.
Repair
Address shame, rejection sensitivity, conflict, missed expectations and the “I should be able to do this” story.
Another therapy format
AdultsWithADHD is an STG Health service for adults 18+ with an existing ADHD diagnosis. The 75-minute, $225 CAD appointment focuses on one everyday difficulty and a practical plan. Available online in Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.
The skill curriculum
The goal is not to become perfectly organized. It is to reduce friction and recover faster when a system slips.
01
Mindfulness, cueing and the 10-minute rule for beginning before urgency takes over.
02
External calendars, time-blocking, transition buffers and scheduling based on actual capacity.
03
Physical and digital systems, environmental design and fewer places for important information to disappear.
04
Catch all-or-nothing stories, review breakdowns without shame and build a reset process.
Practical resources work best when they fit the difficulty you are working on. Aim for a small number of usable supports and a way to restart when a routine slips. Where included in your service, STG Online Clinic tools can support a manageable task between appointments and a discussion of what helped.
STG Health offers a library of 25+ self-paced courses and tools. Ask which resources are included in your program and how to choose something relevant; you do not need to work through an entire library.

It supports self-help and does not replace assessment or treatment.
Choose the format
The right format depends on privacy needs, complexity, learning style and whether the main barrier is mechanics or emotional load.
Individual
You want flexible scheduling, privacy and a plan built around a specific job, household and clinical history.
Skill group
You want the core toolkit, live practice and peers who understand the pattern without needing personal deep-dives.
Signal Group
Rejection sensitivity, shame, emotional intensity and relationships are as important as the practical systems.
The work includes practical executive-function methods but is delivered as clinical counselling or psychotherapy, with assessment, formulation and scope-aware treatment.
Individual plans vary. The current individual pathway is organized around approximately ten sessions with review points, while group programs follow defined curricula.
Yes. Medication can improve access to attention and reward, but it does not automatically teach planning, communication, emotional regulation or recovery after disruption.
That is treatment information, not failure. The work identifies why a system required too much memory, motivation or stability and redesigns it.
The skills group combines 10 core sessions with 2 optional sessions. It offers structured practice in executive-function skills. Clinical pre-approval is required; ask about the next group, fees and what happens if you miss a session before enrolling.
Discuss the goals, privacy needs and practical barriers that may favour individual therapy, the skills group, Signal or a focused appointment.
